Tiffany Leather Collection

Tiffany Manhattan satchel (small) in navy ostrich

Sorry about my absence. I probably should have warned you beforehand that a trip to Maine and a family member's surgery (don't worry - she's fine!) would put me out of commission for a few days. But I never seem to know when I'll be in the weeds until I'm already there, and I need to learn to be more realistic about what I can take on. But enough babbling about myself...

Every so often, there will be a gem of a PR pitch mixed in with all of the emails I get about alpaca wool and giant photo prints. So I was very pleased when Tiffany & Co. sent me a preview of their Fall '11 leather collection.

Designed by Richard Lambertson and John Truex, the accessories are luxe and perfectly classic. Tiffany blue accents on hardware give the items just enough personality to separate them from the pack without spiraling into tiresome "it bag" territory.

Exotic skins (like the ostrich Manhattan at the top) are always my favorites, but aren't these Adair and Zella totes perfect for everyday? I assume they are for women, but I can definitely see a stylish man carrying the larger bag to work.

These leather gloves and dopp kit actually are designed for men, but I think my dad is the only man in my life discerning enough to appreciate them.

More metallics for fall! These reversible totes in pesto and light walnut can be worn with either the suede or metallic leather side facing out.

The Leopard haircalf and nappa leather Morgan clutches are just beautiful. If there's anyone out there that still doubts the elegant possibilities of animal print, please see exhibit A.

Tiffany's Fall '11 leather collection is set to arrive in Boston stores within the next couple of weeks, so keep an eye out.
