Label Launch: Janvier

photos via Janvier

Inspired by 1970s Las Vegas and 1980s Rodeo Drive, there's nothing demure about London accessories house Janvier. The label launched in July with a single minaudière appropriately named Parade — loud, audacious and unapologetically brash. But with the heiress to the Jordache jeans empire behind the scenes, would you have it any other way?

Said heiress, Michelle Nakash, is backing the brand and infusing it with '80s-style opulence, but it is cofounder Elle Azhdari who is responsible for the design. Caged in matte black or gold-plated metals, the drawstring interior pouches of the Parade are available in a number of textures and colors, each embellished with dangling coins.

With only the Parade to its name, it may be too early to judge, but Janvier promises that a full collection of bags, clutches, wallets and sunglasses is on the horizon.

  1. No shame in posting on handbags two days in a row. When they are this gorgeous how can one not? These bags are an 80's inspired decadence I can get on board with. Overalls, still a no-go, no matter how much I loved them the first time around;)
