Colored Glass is Having a Moment at Salone del Mobile

Just two days into Salone del Mobile 2016, and colored glass is already proving to be a major trend at Milan's annual orgy of furniture and home design. Some of the design world's superstars are making their marks with the material, as is a fellow Israeli who's won my heart with her luminescent tables.

Sunken Living Rooms à la Mad Men

A new issue of the D Pages appeared in my mailbox yesterday with none other than Don Draper on the cover. Doesn't get any better then that!

The entire issue is dedicated to Mad Men's spot-on sets, featuring interviews with Amy Wells, set decorator for seasons one through three, and Claudette Didul, who took over for seasons four and five. The sets have certainly gained more of a swinging '60s vibe of late, but I hadn't realized a new hand was at work behind the scenes.

In any case, nothing hearkens back to the "Zou Bisou Bisou" days of this season quite like the sunken living room in Don and Megan's new apartment. So, of course, I went searching for some more...

Wish List: Mangas Poufs by Patricia Urquiola

I remember lusting after the Mangas rugs by Patricia Urquiola for Gandia Blasco when I first saw them last year. And now there are matching poufs!

With their sweater-like texture ("mangas" is Spanish for sleeves), these look so perfectly cozy for lounging. Plus, I have a teal/gold color scheme going in my living room, and I think that pouf on the bottom is exactly what I need to tie it all together.

With a price tag of over $2,000, though, it will be quite a while before this makes the move from wish list to apartment.
