Farmhouse with Lap Pool by GLUCK+

all photos via GLUCK+

Who knew country living could be so good? With its perfect mix of modern and traditional shapes, this farmhouse addition by architecture firm GLUCK+ is enough to make this city mouse change her ways (or at least rethink them).

Maintaining the original 18th-century white frame farmhouse in Worcester, New York, GLUCK+ designed the massive addition to include an art gallery and lap pool. While decidedly abstract, the shapes and materials used in the addition are meant to reflect the original barns and silos on the property.

What do you think? Have the architects managed to tie it all together?
