FreshFiber for Your Phone

I nearly deleted the email I got from FreshFiber before I even opened it, thinking that the PR manager for a digestive aid had been woefully misdirected in contacting me. Maybe the name of the Dutch company got lost in translation, because it turns out that FreshFiber actually creates some very unique smartphone and tablet accessories using a specialized 3D printing technique.

Most of what they do is abstract and even futuristic, but my three favorite designs have a more retro flavor. The cheeky cassette, camera and boombox cases are made in the Netherlands for the iPhone 4 and 4s, and each sells for $39.99. Best of all, the reels on the casette rotate, the camera has an open/close shutter and a rotating lens, and the boombox handle folds down to act as a stand. Pretty clever, no?

  3. I love these!

I can't really choose a favourite, though the camera is calling me slightly more than the others...
