Snowed In

my Norwegian dream cabin

I hope you all had a lovely Christmas! I did the traditional Jewish thing, which consists of plenty of Chinese food and a movie with my parents. (I Love You Phillip Morris is a must-see.)

Now I'm hunkering down for the blizzard that is supposed to last throughout tomorrow. I had the good sense to go grocery shopping before the snow started, and I'm planning to make the Healthy Mac 'n Cheese recipe posted by Lynzy of Sparkling Footsteps and some chocolate walnut brownies. I'm grateful for my warm apartment and comfort food, of course, but I would much rather be snowed in at one of these cozy cabins.

  2. I was looking at all of these, thinking I have no interest in cabins until I saw the bathtub in the last photo. Definitely can't fit that in my teeny apartment. I'm hiding from the storm too. Got my dinner (spinach and lemon soup) and movie (Easy A), and furballs keeping me warm :)

  3. I'm riding out the storm in Florida, although I don't have a choice! Every flight into Boston is cancelled! I have to tell you, regardless of my distaste for snow, I could see myself cozying up in a lot of these great houses. I can't wait until our blogger brunch on Friday! See you then.

  14. Oh I really need a cabin in the mountains with a fireplace in each room, cashmere blankets and a sauna or jacuzzi - sigh! Glad to hear you got your supplies in before the blizzard started - it looks crazy over there!!! xoxo

  15. It's actually supposed to rain here, but I wish we had snow coming. It actually sounds nice to just cuddle up on my couch, knowing I can't get out to go anywhere. A good excuse to relax on the couch ;) Enjoy!
