Hey Little Sister

Elle Fanning for Interview Magazine
Photography by Steven Pan

Remember when Dakota Fanning grew up and became a fashion plate? Little sister Elle is only 12, but considering the age of most models, she doesn't look one bit out of place here in Alberta Ferretti and Chanel. In fact, she reminds me a little of Gemma Ward.

I'm getting awfully excited to see Elle in Somewhere later this month. I think this will be the role that takes her from childhood to adolescence, just as Hounddog did for Dakota. (Go add it to your Netflix list now if you don't know what I'm talking about!) I love seeing the talented wee ones grow up.

More photos after the jump...

  1. She looks a lot older than that!!!
I love that braid, it's a little weird with the Lolita reference I think they might be making? But I think I might try to rock it on a non-hair-washing day :)

  9. Seriously, 12 years old? So not fair. I love her braids....but me thinks I am officially too old to rock those? Will attempt soon, perhaps with a "how-to" post following if there is a positive outcome.

  10. She kind of reminds me of Twiggy. I don't know why...she has that high fashion, swinging London look about her, I think. :) These photos are beautiful. She looks waaay older than 12 though. Lol.

I recently saw the preview for her new movie and it looks fab!

  15. Elle is adorable! I think she's going to be quite the stunner when she grows up. I hope she takes after Dakota, and steers clear of the Lindsey Lohan track! This is such a beautiful set of b&w portraits, too!
