Black Swan/White Swan

Well, I saw Black Swan yesterday, and all I can say is that it's weird. Very, very weird. The acting is excellent, the visuals are stunning, but it may be Darren Aronofsky's darkest film since Requiem for a Dream.

As every other fashion blogger has mentioned, Rodarte did a beautiful job creating the costumes for this movie, and the makeup is equally gorgeous. Instead of showing you stills from the film, I've given into my new-found Polyvore obsession and have put together a couple of looks inspired by the movie after the jump.

The same dancer playing good witch and bad witch. Have you seen Black Swan yet?

  1. I cannot WAIT to see this movie! I like your black swan/white swan sets...especially the black one. I'm such a little Gothie at heart.

  4. where did you go see it? i was checking the papers and i couldn't find it anywhere! (maybe it was an old newspaper, who even looks at movie listings in the newspaper anyway?) it's smart you went after brunch so you weren't feeling weird in the dark afterwards! haha

I just saw the movie tonight and I'm kinda speechless. It was SO INTENSE. I wasn't expecting to be so scared, but I really liked it.

  13. Thanks for this! It actually hasn't opened in Cleveland yet and I was invited to a preview later this week, but it may get snowed out.

Regardless, I can't wait to check it out.
