Post-Thanksgiving Post

The Sunday night after a vacation is such a let down, isn't it? I've spent the past few days stuffing my face, watching movies, and generally lazing about with family and old friends. All that's left to do now is mentally prepare myself for the work week ahead. No fun at all.

At least I have my Shopbop Black Friday purchases to look forward to.

The initial plan was to spend Black Friday at Saks with my mom. (70% off until noon? Yes please.) But somehow all the tryptophan failed me, and after struggling to fall asleep the night before, there was no way I could brave the crowds at 8 am.

Which is not to say that I didn't buy into the Black Friday madness. I ended up going completely overboard at Shopbop.com.  I'm sure I'll be returning some of it, but I just couldn't resist the deals. Yep, it's bad.

Did anyone else get a bit carried away with the sales?

I hope all of you had lovely weekends and aren't struggling too much with the Sunday night blues!

  1. Bwahahaha!

I haven't done too much holiday shopping yet, but I did take advantage of some Black Friday sales on Etsy and Amazon.

I've been grading all day, so my blues set in early....

  3. I bought a sweater at Shopbop on Wednesday. And then slipped into a vegetative state until approximately 3 hours ago. Monday after Thanksgiving = biznatch.

Can't wait to see what you scored!

  7. Hi Marissa, your follow button does not work completely for me, I do can follow you but without my picture/my icon. It just shows the grey silhouette, shall I follow anyway already? Strange... I am following you via twitter from now on too. Have a great Monday. Off to try again to hit that follow button... xx

  8. Okay, I kind of follow you from now on, but think I am following as an anonymous, have not yet dealt with this kind of problem. Anyway, 100 is a great figure, isn't it!! xx

  10. The Monday after vacation feels even worse! Do I have to get back to real life? I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed your time with family and friends and did some overindulgent shopping. I can't wait to see some of your purchases! I feel like there's a lot of Boston Blogger time in the next month!

  11. Ha ha I can totally relate to that cat! It wasn't Thanksgiving for me up here in Canada but after reading everyone's tweets about their Thanksgiving meals, I totally ordered greasy delivery and indulged myself as well. xx

  12. My cat love is totally rubbing off on you! I need another Thanksgiving break to get over this Monday. It's so sad to go back to work.

I am very sad that there are no pictures of your purchases, you shop tease. Will you show us when they arrive?
