At Home in a Book

Despite the amount of mindless television I admit to watching, I have always been a bookworm. And don't give me any supermarket fluff. Teenage vampires are out, too. I want a book I can get lost in.

I've shown you my bookshelves, but a true home library isn't feasible in a one-bedroom apartment. Is there anything more luxurious, though, than a room dedicated purely to reading?

I also have my books organized by color. It does not look nearly this good.

I could sit in that window seat for days.

I love how feminine this traditional design is. If Upstairs on the Square had a library, this would be it.

The fireplace makes the room

Dark wood screams library to me, and you know I love anything mid-century modern.

And finally... the library of the Kaiser himself.

  16. This is the third or fourth time I have looked at this post - so many good ideas! Gregor is determined to rearrange our books by color. Also, the Upstairs on the Square reference is spot on.
