Weekend Happenings

[Brimfield photo by Angelo Dounoucos]

Cannot wait for the Brimfield Antique Show & Flea Market this weekend! I tried to go last year, but for some reason it didn't work out. I'm finally headed to the little Western Mass. town this Sunday to scour through fields and fields of trash and treasure. I'm not looking for anything in particular, but who knows what I'll find?

Lots more going on this weekend (and more beautiful Brimfield photos) after the jump...

Brimfield Antique Show & Flea Market
May 11-16, July 13-18, September 7-12
Brimfield, MA (see the Web site for field locations)

SoWa Open Market
Saturdays & Sundays through October 31, 10 AM - 5 PM
460 Harrison Avenue, South End
Over 140 designers and artists gather to sell their wares, from baked goods to pottery to handbags. Free admission and parking.

SoWa Vintage Market
Saturdays and Sundays through October 31, 10 AM - 4 PM
460C Harrison Avenue, South End
Located right behind the Open Market, the Vintage Market sells a curated selection of art, furnishings, clothing and accessories (including some great mid-century modern finds). It's like a mini Brimfield closer to home!

Selah D'or Trunk Show
Saturday, Noon - 5 PM
Suneri Boutique
205 Newbury Street, Back Bay
Meet Boston designer David Chum and view his architectural, yet incredibly feminine, spring/summer collection. The name of the line is a play on "cellar door," a word combination J.R.R. Tolkien (and Drew Barrymore in Donnie Darko!) once called especially beautiful.
