Weekend Happenings - Marathon Monday Edition

The view from my office, pre-Marathon [image via Nick Barber]

This feels like the first weekend in a while that I don't have a million and one commitments. Plus, I have Monday off, since the Boston Marathon finish line is right in front of my office! I'll probably be at the office anyway, but I'll be out on the roof with Eric, a couple of friends and a picnic basket watching the race.

Otherwise, I'll be spending time with  my girlfriends, celebrating my cousin's birthday (happy birthday, Abs!), and possibly hitting up the North End for these:

Shake the Tree's Spring Jewelry & Cocktail Party
Friday, 7-9 PM
67 Salem St., North End
One of my favorite bloggers, Keyse of Crocodile Tears, will be showing off her Flauxy Studio jewelry line. Plus you can browse the boutique while enjoying cocktails by Thatcher's and nibbles from Sensing.

Twilight's Closet Raid for Charity
Saturday, 11 AM - 7 PM
12 Fleet St., North End
Twilight boutique's Alison Barnard and her friends have finished their spring cleaning and will offer their lightly-worn designer duds to the rest of us for $5-$100. All proceeds benefit Women for Women International. Very tempting...

  1. I loved watching the Marathon when I was a student out there! We would leave our dorm rooms together and walk down to the Newbury, watching the runners and making a pit stop for ice cream....
